“The perfect push-up!” Keep this in mind. A push-up is NOT just a demonstration of upper body strength. In fact the push-up when performed correctly challenges the entire body. Sufficient trunk stability is essential to performing a perfect push-up.
The body should move as one solid unit. Contracting the glutes is key! This bridges the gap from the lower and upper body while helping to keep the trunk stable during the movement.
